Have you heard about the economic conditions of Gadsden County, Florida, in the New York Times and other media and always wanted to help do something about it?
Well here is your opportunity to give gifted and talented children an opportunity to win in life through the arts by becoming a Legacy Builder!
Legacy School of Performing Arts Training Institute (Legacy) is a 501(c)3 tax exempt non-profit arts organization that was established in Gadsden County, Florida, for gifted and talented children in grades K-12 from all walks of life who do not have access to high quality arts education in their local school and community. As a result, those who can afford it must travel for miles around to seek out the artistic training their child's talent requires, while those who cannot afford training are left with uncultivated, unrecognized talent, which could lead to destructive behavior as they seek alternative outlets to express themselves. Therefore, regardless of one's socioeconomic status, it can be difficult for gifted and talented children and families in our community to have access to high quality performing arts training due to the lack of resources and opportunities that growing up in a small, impoverished rural community such as Gadsden County can bring.
At Legacy we need Legacy Builders like you who will help us use the arts as a catalyst for change that will bridge the gap between our communities and schools by helping us reach every child in every school throughout our community who exhibits a promising future in the performing arts of music, theater, and dance. In other words, your contribution can help us keep our doors open so we can provide an equal opportunity for both the "Haves and Have Not's" to receive adequate training in the arts that may lead to a professional career, scholarship opportunities for college, or as an intervention to help mentor and guide children down the right path using their creativity. Therefore, when you become a Legacy Builder your tax deductible financial contribution will help us provide the following opportunities for each child to do the following:
1) Study music, theater, and dance at a local grassroots non-profit organization close to home and help our small community grow;
2) Travel to concerts, performances, and summer camp programs out of state and abroad, which will expand their vision for greatness, and provide a heightened sense of respect for their art form; and
3) Realize their dream of attending college or becoming a professional artist as a result of their study at an early age.
With this we openly invite all individuals, business owners, civic organizations, faith-based organizations and children to donate and receive the benefits below.
